African Mango Extract by SWAN LIFE

Irvingia Gabonensis, also known as African Mango Tree, is a type of African Tree native to North Angola. This tree can grow up to 130 feet tall. Its bark presents with a yellow-grey and its leaves are circular and dense with a rich green color. The African Mango Tree flowers from March to June and fruits twice in a year, the first being from April to July and the second being from September to October.

When harvested, the African Mango Tree is cultivated for various uses. The flesh of the fruit is eaten as is and is similar in taste to the widely known mango. The fruit can also be made into jams, wines, juices and jellies. The seeds are typically turned into butter and oil but can be eaten raw or roasted.

The consumption of African Mango Extract has many possible benefits:
Studies suggest that the soluble fiber found in the African Mango seeds can help stabilize blood sugar levels in those with insulin resistance and diabetes. When combined with a balanced diet and active lifestyle, African Mango Extract can aid in fat burning and weight loss. A 10-week long clinical trial was conducted in which 120 obese individuals consumed an African Mango Extract supplement. The participants saw an average body fat reduction of 6.3% and an average waistline circumference reduction of 16.2%.

Some clinical trials suggest that African Mango Extract supplements can lower blood cholesterol levels. 40 overweight participants in a 4-week long trial showed a 46% decrease in undesired LDL cholesterol levels and a 47% increase in desired HDL cholesterol levels when compared to the controlled placebo group. African Mango Extract has also shown to be an impressive antioxidant demonstrated by a 78% free radical inhibition in a cell-based study. The antioxidant properties may protect against heavy metal toxicity and aid in better liver function.
